Sustainability: ESG and positive impact 2024
Sustainability is an essential pillar for the brand, guiding its actions since its foundation.
In order to minimize the social and environmental impacts of its operations, it adopts business strategies that result in tangible benefits for the environment and society.
The adoption of the best ESG practices is found throughout the production chain, from the selection of materials with certified origin, to obtaining important certifications – such as FSC®, Carbon Free, Trinity Energias Renováveis and Green Building Council Brasil – as well as the social commitment that consolidates the brand as a positive force for society.
Sustainable Partnership
The partnership with 1645 Leather Store, a division of Curtume Minuano, promotes the reuse of leather waste in both brands. The collaboration enables leather production waste to be sustainably reused and transformed into objects of desire.
One of the differentials is the use of certified leather – with the OEKO-TEX Standard Leather seal, which guarantees safe raw materials for consumers and the environment – free of more than 300 substances harmful to human health. The production process is rigorously monitored, contributing to a greener and healthier future.

ONG Comitê de Solidariedade pela Vida
For more than 15 years, the Solidarity for Life Committee has been in a solid partnership, donating leftover noble materials such as leather and fabrics. The materials are transformed by the NGO into sustainable and collectible gifts. In a virtuous cycle, Ornare buys the products, generating income for the needy communities involved in their production.
In 2024, we expanded the impact of this action, surpassing previous years by donating more than 980kg of materials. In addition, Curtume Minuano contributed more than 140kg of leather scraps. As a result, more than 2,000 families received income and benefits, contributing to the NGO’s social programs.
Tree planting action
Ornare participates in tree planting promoted by Carbon Free Brasil. Carbon neutralization has emerged as a vital solution for mitigating environmental impacts. The offsetting of greenhouse gas emissions has expanded with the planting of trees.
Reducing carbon emissions associated with the production process is a priority for the brand. Measures to minimize its carbon footprint in activities from the development of new products to manufacturing and assembly – emissions related to the production process, including both direct and indirect emissions generated by energy consumption were taken into account in the calculations. Efforts have been stepped up with the goal of also neutralizing 100% of the chain of custody. The collaboration with Carbon Free Brasil is an example of our mutual commitment to promoting sustainable practices and building a greener future.

Programa Aproxima
As part of its social responsibility – we support initiatives that broaden inclusion in the architecture and design market, promoting equity and diversity by integrating interns from the Programa Aproxima into the team, creating a plural corporate environment that welcomes different perspectives in the sector.
The Programa Aproxima seeks to address the challenges of racial representation and inclusion in the Brazilian architecture sector, offering opportunities to black, brown and indigenous students. Aimed at second and third year students, the program provides a platform for competitive insertion into the market, training participants and exposing them to various possibilities for working in the sector.
