Ornare supports the Aproxima Program

Committed to ESG, the brand supports initiatives aimed at broadening inclusion in the architecture and design market.

Ornare invests in initiatives that promote equity and diversity in the job market. By integrating trainees from the Aproxima Program into the team, the company presents a plural corporate environment that welcomes different perspectives in the sector.

The Aproxima Program, conceived by the architecture firm FGMF and managed by a non-profit association, was designed by Caroline Martins, people manager at FGMF, in co-creation with Lourenço Gimenes, partner at FGMF, and Fernando Mungioli, publisher of PROJETO magazine.

The program aims to tackle the challenges of racial representation and inclusion in the Brazilian architecture sector, offering opportunities to black, brown and indigenous architecture students. Aimed at second- and third-year students, Aproxima provides a platform, inserting participants competitively into the market, training them and exposing them to the varied possibilities of working in the sector.

“The Aproxima Program represents much more than just a job opportunity. It’s a connection with young talents who bring with them diverse histories, cultures and visions, broadening our understanding and enriching our daily lives. By integrating these professionals into our team, we are not only contributing to their development, but also learning from them, in an exchange of experiences that transforms and strengthens everyone,” says Marcia Silva, Ornare’s Human Resources manager.

The partnership with the program creates a more representative work environment by integrating new talent. The interns’ experience has been transformative, impacting the company’s daily routine. Helen Roberta shares her experience: “When I found out I would be working at Ornare as an intern, I was very happy. It’s been incredible to get to know the brand, the products and, above all, the quality that the company offers.” For Pedro Henrique, the experience is also positive: “I’m learning a lot about the company, the products and the processes. All this will certainly contribute a lot to my career”. Vagner Júnior adds: “So far, my journey has been enriching, providing valuable learning about the process of creating furniture. Without a doubt, this experience will stay with me forever.”

With initiatives of this size, Ornare plays an active role in training a new generation of professionals who are more inclusive, diverse and prepared to face future challenges, on a path where diversity and all talents have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
