Women of Brazil Group gathers in NYC
The traditional meeting of the Women of Brazil Group took place in New York and featured a team engaged in social transformation projects.
Hosted by Stefan and Gabriela Schattan, representatives of the Women of Brazil Group (originally Grupo Mulheres do Brasil in Portuguese) gathered to discuss important topics for the Brazilian women’s community in the country. Aware of the struggles experienced by women who live far from their country of origin and who sometimes undergo harsh realities, the group works with initiatives to welcome Brazilian women. Therefore, they have engaged in partnerships in different areas with projects involving fighting violence against women, education, cultural transition, entrepreneurship, social integration, immigrant insertion, public policies, health, art, and culture.
Chaired by entrepreneur Luiza Helena Trajano, the Women of Brazil Group was created in 2013 by 40 women from different industries. Today, it brings together more than 100,000 participants from 122 cities in Brazil and 39 in 22 countries to engage civil society in the achievement of improvements for the country. In the US, the group started its actions in 2018 and has had representation in NYC since 2022.
Ornare has a strong presence in American territory with eight addresses in the United States: New York Manhattan, New York Brooklyn, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston, the Hamptons, and Greenwich. Palm Beach e New Jersey units are opening soon. Recently, we also opened a showroom in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and are preparing to open a new address in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
